世界の最高峰であるDRCのDNAを受け継いだスイスの先駆者！ ヴァイングート・ドナッチュはスイス・グラウビュンデン地区で100年以上続く家族経営のワイナリー。
DRCを1978年より黄金世代へと導いた伝説の銘醸造長兼セラーマスター「ベルナール・ノブレ」。
今日スイスワインがここまで飛躍できたのも、ベルナール・ノブレとトーマス・ドナッチュが巡り会わなければ始まりませんでした。
当初のドナッチュはブドウの品質は極めて優良品質であり高い評価を得ていた。
しかしながら1972年にDRCを訪問した際、醸造長ベルナール・ノブレは醸造面に対し厳しく評価。
当初の醸造技術はフランスと比較をすると足元にも及ばなかったものの、醸造技術にテコ入れが入れば凄まじいモンスターワイナリーになると断言したのでした。
その後ベルナール・ノブレ仕込みのブルゴーニュ醸造技術を武器に、最高峰ブルゴーニュであるDRCを越える挑戦がスタートします。
最高峰のラ・ターシュを眠らせてきたDRC秘蔵の木樽を受け継いだドナッチュは、当初のスイスでは異例の醸造方法でベルナール・ノブレの教えを貫きました。
挑戦を繰り返した結果、様々なワイン誌や世界的なワイン評論家ロバート・パーカからも高評価を獲得。
2016年にはデキャンター誌にて「2016 Best Pinot Noir」に選出され世界最高峰の一角の仲間入りを果たしました。
年々評価がうなぎ上りするドナッチュに世界水準が上昇。
現在世界の価格及び需要も高騰し続け、アロケーションも極少量のみの希少なカルトワイナリーとなっております。
2013年ヴィンテージに関しましてはワインアドヴォケイトにてピノ・ノワールの全世界最高得点の97ポイントを獲得しております。
これはDRCと並ぶ最高得点です。
最近になって、ようやくアメリカでもドナッチュのワインが手に入るようになったそうですが、その量はスイスに比べて非常に少ないようです。
正規ルートのドナッチュが日本で入手できることに感謝。
4.5haの畑にはSpige、Selvenen、Frassa、Bovel、Haldeの区画があり、品種別に適した区画で栽培している。
ワインはトラディション、パッション、ユニークの3つのレンジに分かれる。
ブルゴーニュのヴィラージュ、プルミエクリュ、グランクリュと同様の位置づけ。
シャルドネとコンプレーターはブルゴーニュ製の樽で発酵させる。
ピノ・ノワールはトラディションが中古樽、パッションが30%新樽、ユニークが100％新樽で醸造される。
AOCはいずれもグラウビュンデン。
コンプレーターはグラウビュンデン州の固有品種。
リッチだが酸があり遅摘み。
絶滅しかけていたのを、トーマスの祖父が1947年に引き抜いたが、ドメーヌの100周年記念の1993年に植えて復活させた。
州内に2haしかないうちの1haがドナッチュの畑。
現在、トーマスは自身のワインバー「Zum Ochsen」を運営し、息子のマーティンがワイン造りに注力しています。
そのワインバーでは、トーマス氏がなぜ土着品種マンセレーヴ 、通称「コンプレーター」にこれほどの情熱を持っているのかを説明してくれるそうです。
また、このワインバーは、スイスのトップシェフたちが割り当てられたワインを受け取りに来る場所でもあります。

白い花、マイヤーレモン、ジンジャーブレッド、トロリとした口当たり、ジューシーな酸、リニアなテクスチャー、ピュアな果実、フィネスのかたまり。
塩気を帯びた深い味わい、緊張感が長く持続する。
マルサンヌとリースリングを合わせたような独特の味わい。

ワインアドヴォケイト：93 ポイント Rating 93 Release Price NA Drink Date 2020 - 2050 Reviewed by Stephan Reinhardt Issue Date 29th Feb 2020 Source Issue 247 End of February 2020, The Wine Advocate For a late-ripening local variety (and rarity), Martin Donatsch's 2018 Completer "Malanserrebe" displays a radiant golden-yellow color and reflects the warm vintage on the nose, which comes across almost as an Ermitage (Marsanne) from the Rhine. Deep, ripe and intense yet super mineral, refined and complex on the lemon-scented and floral nose, this is a full-bodied, round and lush, very concentrated but juicy yet fine, persistently firm Malanser that reveals excellent purity and elegance with sustainable mineral freshness, salt and grippy phenolics. Powerful yet fascinating. The 2018 is a mouthful of Completer. Bottled after one year in barriques with 14.5% alcohol. Tasted in January and February 2020. I have been waiting with great excitement to taste Martin Donatsch's red 2018s, which I pre-tasted from the barrels a year ago when his father, Swiss icon producer and DRC collector Thomas, drew parallels with the phenomenal 1947 vintage. The whites have already been bottled and, as always, will be hard to find due to the exceptionally high demand. However, the Pinots, except for the "Tradition," were still waiting to be bottled in January this year when Martin sent me two barrel samples of each of his other 2018 Pinots: Passion and Unique, a filtered and an unfiltered version. Only the filtered version will be on the market, but I didn't want to wait with my tasting until after the bottling, because then I would have to wait some months until the bottle shock would be over. So, my scores can only be estimations, whereas there is no doubt about the outstanding quality of the 2018s. They combine perfect ripeness and intensity with finesse and freshness and will age for a very long time. Donatsch, whom I haven't visited since November 2018, also sent his newest Privee, a selection of the two finest barrels from the 2015 vintage. Some bottles of this great Pinot Noir will be sold through an auction in May this year, whereas the rest will only be available in the family restaurant, "Zum Ochsen," which its always worth a trip for numerous reasons. It's here where Thomas Donatsch will explain why he has such a great passion for the indigenous (white) Malanserrebe, a.k.a. Completer. (The 2018, by the way, is exceptional!) It's also here where all the top chefs from Switzerland come to pick up their allocation, because the Donatsches never deliver their wines. If you want to buy them, you have to pick up the wines yourself in Malans. The Donatsches like to have you there, and believe me, you should never decline their invitation. Their wine library is spectacular, and if the chemistry is right, you'll wish to stay there forever. 現在5代目となる当主トーマス・ドナッチュ氏は伝統あるワイナリーに革新的な試みを1970年代から取り入れてきた。
ブルゴーニュにインスパイアされ、当時まだスイスには植え付けされていなかった(法的には認められていなかった)シャルドネ、ピノ・ブランを1975年から栽培、またシャンパーニュの伝統方式でのスパークリング生産やカベルネ・ソーヴィニヨンの栽培をグラウビュンデン地区内で初めて行うなど、新たな挑戦を数々行っている。
その精神は息子のマーティンにも受け継がれ、世界各国でワイン造りを学んだ後、2010年から2年続けてピノ・ノワール生産者のワールドチャンピオンにも輝いている。
チューリヒから1時間ほど東に行ったビュンドナー・ヘアシャフトに複数の区画で合計4.5haほどのブドウ畑には≪Spiger≫、≪Selvenen≫、≪Frassa≫、≪Bovel≫、≪Halde≫などの名前が付けられ、ピノ・ノワール、ピノ・ブラン、ピノ・グリ、シャルドネなどのブドウ品種が植えられている。
中でも珍しいのはコンプレーター(Completer)という白ブドウ品種。
同品種の作付面積は世界でたった1haしかなく、その半分をドナッチュが占める。
14世紀からこの地域で栽培されてきた土着品種だが、酸度が非常に高く、アルコール度数も上がりやすい品種のため、周辺のワイナリーからは敬遠され年々収穫量は減っていった。
ドナッチュはそんな絶滅寸前のコンプレーターにスポットを当て、さらに生産量を増やすつもりでいる。
扱う品種はピノ・ノワール50%、シャルドネ17%、コンプレーター10%、ピノ・ブラン10%、その多品種が6%。
同社の上級キュヴェ“Unique”はシャルドネ、ピノ・ノワール共にパーカーポイント95点以上を獲得し続けている。
